Last month we set up an Aimzine SocialGO site. This is a social networking facility using software provided by Aim-listed Bright Things. We noted in early April that Bright Things had raised £750,000 in a placing at 1.25 pence per share to ‘provide additional working capital for the Company as it looks to expand the reach and potential market for its SocialGO product.

It is fair to say that the Aimzine Social Network site has been very quiet to date, with very few visitors. Bright Things did advise us that to get a social network site started that we would need to promote the site and input some content on to the site.  Unfortunately, due to other pressures, we have not been able to put much time into ‘Aimzine Social’ during April. However, starting in May we will be looking to add content to the site. In particular we will be commenting on any exceptional RNS statements that we see on the day that they are issued – rather along the lines of our Aim Snippet feature.

We invite all of our readers to register for Aimzine Social – it is free and only takes a few seconds to register. Once registered, we would particularly welcome contributions from readers in these 2 categories:-

  • Snippets: - Have you spotted an RNS statement which you believe clearly shows exceptional value in a small company share? If so, please tell us about it.
  • Companies: Over the last year we have covered some 28 AIM-listed companies in Aimzine. We have tended to focus on the small high growth companies. We would like to know if there are any particular companies or sectors that our readers would like us to cover.

Within every article in Aimzine this month there is a link to ‘Aimzine Social’. We would like to hear readers’ comments on our articles – either on Aimzine Social or by using the Feedback page here.
